Of all the deadly anniversaries Sudan's military complex has given us, this one is by far the worst.

One full year of armed violence and devastation - no lulls, no ceasefires, no guarantees of safety or immunity for any volunteers or aid workers.

A reminder that on October 17th Hamas had offered an all-for-all hostage exchange to secure a permanent ceasefire. On October 17th. Around this time, the families of the hostages were pushing for the same: “everyone for everyone” was their humane call. Israel refused.

the siege of sarajevo started 32 years ago today. in the 1,425 days of the siege over 1,600 children were killed. the effects of this are still felt today. in the 181 days of israel's latest attack on gaza 14,000 children have been killed. i find this loss incomprehensible.

and just like that, all the lies of the past 6 months fall away and we’re left with reality: Israel was blocking aid and intentionally creating a famine as part of their genocide with American support and Biden could have stopped this at any moment with a single phone call

just so you are all aware, even though they called for a temporary ceasefire (until the end of ramadan) and even though ramadan ends next week- nothing changed. there was no ceasefire, israel slaughtered even more palestinians the day it was called because they were angry.

i cannot believe this headline exists. to think about how many bodies cannot be buried in sudan to the point where animals are altering their routes from europe to feed on corpses is insane. during these last 10 days of ramadan continue to pray for sudan and sudanese people.

The message they are sending is clear. If you try to feed Gaza, we will kill you too. If you try to help, we will kill you too.
