The Angela Rayner Fan Hitter shows the power the Daily Mail et al have to influence the BBC agenda and the police. We need the grown ups to realise when they are being manipulated.

Oh thatā€™s weird because it did the opposite of killing me.
40 people worked around the clock to save my life when I was in a coma and expected to die.
At the end of it, no bill.
They would barely let me thank them.

The media allow the royals to do the same.

Thereā€™ve been plenty of broadcast and newspaper interviews with senior royals in recent years.

Not once was any of them asked about Prince Andrew.

Thereā€™s a big difference between news reporting and news chat. News chat currently dominates because itā€™s cheap, easy, and gets clicks and an audience. But it lives off news reporting which is hard, expensive and sometimes dangerous. We seem to regularly confuse the two.

This is a well-crafted, human and thoughtful statement.Ā
Ā
The use of a video message is a rebuke to those questioning Kateā€™s whereabouts.Ā
Ā
William will be hoping such nonsense dissipates and his familyā€™s privacy is respected.
Ā
Itā€™s clear heā€™ll take legal action, if necessary.

A powerful reminder of the symbiotic relationship enjoyed by the royals and the media.

A clear breach of privacy.

Kensington Palace is silent.

These photos wouldnā€™t have been published in British newspapers if the press thought William and Kate would kick up about them.

The couple may come to regret having effectively given a green light to this invasion of their privacy.
