Very interesting pre-election survey results on the eve of South Africa's elections next week - 30 years after the end of apartheid. A solid majority trust that the elections will be fair - which is good. However, there is also unhappiness about the way democracy is functioning.

According to Stats SA 2022, 51% of the SA population are women & 42% of household are headed by females, and are more likely to be unemployed & less likely to participate in the labour market than men. statssa.gov.za/?p=15833
