Inheritable 'memory' genes drive #cancer drug tolerance, but their discovery in clinical samples is a major challenge. Our new theory, moving away from Luria-Delbruck, detects them from a *single* scRNA-seq dataset! With #ArchishmanRaju led by Suvranil tinyurl.com/4pef8scy

Excited to see BoneMarrowMap out in press! Please check out the R package (now capable of classifying 100,000 hematopoietic cells in 10 minutes) and consider giving the paper a read for some insights into how differentiation goes wrong in AML!

This is super similar to what we recently observed for Npm1c… somehow slow-proliferating HSCs were protected? Is this a mechanism to prevent transformation in highly potent, usually quiescent HSCs? nature.com/articles/s4158…

There is much enthusiasm about the scaling of LLMs capabilities, especially among non-experts. Who are the AI technical experts expressing confidence in the scaling of LLMs capabilities? Who among them do not have significant financial conflict of interests ?

1. If you want hope in this dark moment, listen to chant of "no more war" that broke out among the thousands that came out to hear Bernie Sanders in Tulsa, Oklahoma. There is only one off-ramp from Trump's mad rush to war: the quick mobilization of an anti-war opposition. The

Many proteins bind RNA, yet we still don’t know what RNAs most bind because methods map one RBP at a time. In Cell, with the Jovanovic lab, we describe SPIDR – a method for mapping the RNA binding sites of dozens of RBPs in a single experiment. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

I did a summer internship at the Gurdon Institute in 2013 I remember the moment when Sir John Gurdon entered the library after printing out papers he wanted to read. I remember him always taking the stairs and never using the elevator, at the age of 79 or 80, a true inspiration.
