It’s back to school and work for many people today. Wishing everybody a wonderful start to 2024, be kind and most of all take care of each other.

Late to the party but just to say it was a humbling to volunteer on Christmas Day with Khidmat centres for the elders lunch. When we went on deliveries It was sad to see that many older people were living alone, feeling isolated or possibly hadn’t seen anybody for days #BeKind

Great for YoungInCovid to be involved with the Khidmat centres bunch at this festive time of the year to help those who are in need. We are delivering food hampers to refugee and asylum seeker friends so they can have a good family celebration.

Nitrous has been popular amongst young people for a while now. It's cheap and easy to get hold of. It's good that people are thinking seriously about its harms and maybe how to stop usage. We talked about this in our film Routes to Recovery.

Thanks to Intercultured Festival for inviting us to speak about our film Routes to Recovery yday Bradford Cathedral. We really enjoyed the experience & audience feedback and it reminded us of how much work there is to do to highlight young voices. We also got to celebrate jassa’s birthday 🎉

Thank you to Pishdaad Modaressi Chahardehi for inviting YoungInCovid to the Filmmakers for Change Festival. It was powerful for us to view films made by filmmakers from across the world capturing stories around social issues & challenges. It made us think of what’s happening outside of Bradford.

Yesterday, Jassa and Dr Sofia Buncy MBE DL attended Bradford Cathedral for a service to mark Hate Crime Awareness week. Both of them read speeches from their faith perspective regarding hate crime, which was appreciated within the community. It was also good to hear from other young people.
