While I cannot believe that nothing will happen after repeated infections with SARS-CoV-2, I can imagine that repeated infections with SARS-CoV-2 can make us believe that nothing will happen.

'We observed that prolonged exposure (>2h) to natural sunlight may be associated with adverse brain structure.
This association varied in different age, sex, and season, and stronger negative correlations were found in males, those under 60 years old, and during the summer.…

From a report in France,
'The first patient, an individual in their 70s without prior remarkable medical conditions, underwent a four-shot Covid-19 vaccination protocol.
Two days after the last dose the patient presented mildly symptomatic Covid-19 infection (fever, cough, nose…

The 2030s may bring about a dementia pandemic, but let's look at the bright side.

For example, it will increase honesty because lying will be too complex.

In Japan, most people refrain from going out when they have fever, which can prevent the rapid spread of the virus.

Conversely, a respiratory virus that does not cause fever (like XDQ.1) can swiftly spread in the crowded spaces commonly seen in Japan.

I'm sure that Omicron is changing our neural activities, I'm not sure yet what this change will bring to our social activities finally.

Infection with the new Omicron subvariant would not cause a serious problem because everyone already has a problem in recognizing seriousness due to a previous infection.

In UK, 'The lineages that were estimated to have a positive growth rate advantage were JN.1.11.1, KP.2 and JN.1.7.1.'

KP.2 is not growing in JP (Japan), and JN.1 is being replaced with XDQ among JNs (Japanese nationals).

'SARS-CoV-2 genome sequence prevalence and growth rate…

Generally, XDQ.1 does not cause fever but neurological symptoms (dry cough, short breath, headache, fatigue, etc.).

This implies that few of the infected people go to hospitals.

The new SARS-CoV-2 subvariant XDQ.1 is now rapidly spreading in Japan only.

Therefore, I think that this recombinant lineage was born in Japan.

'Disease severity and mortality rapidly increase when a new influenza virus emerges, as exemplified by the 1918–1919 H1N1 catastrophe (with more than 40 million deaths)..
Of current concern is the unprecedented global spread of highly pathogenic avian H5N1 IAV (influenza A…

It seems that further convergent evolution of Omicron recently occurred in Japan.

This new subvariant is spreading so swiftly beyond our imaginings, while its pathogenicity is not yet clear.

Currently, Japan has a significant rise in cases of streptococcal toxic shock syndrome (STSS) caused by the bacteria Group A Streptococcus, so-called 'flesh-eating disease.'

In Tokyo, 141 STSS cases (a yearly record high) were reported in 2023, and, in 2024, 123 cases have…

Hiroshi Yasuda (保田浩志) Yep, the pain I had after eating was worse than my menstrual cramps and would last for over an hour. It became so difficult to eat in the weeks I was first sick. Four years later and I still have some pain and fatigue after I eat any regular sized meal. It's so disheartening.
