I never delete messages when I am dating no matter how upset I am. Because there comes days when it will seem like all we do is fight & I may forget that we once laughed. Going back through the texts reminds me of those days & has me wanting to keep trying.

I read a tweet here yesterday that said we date within the same hair range (in our women). So I went through my catalogue & indeed found that I indeed only ever dated African women with locs or short hair. & long, wavy in White women. I guess hair does determine who we date.

If there weren't 'Invictus' & 'Do Not Go Gentle Into That Goodnight' I'd have this (Kipling's 'If') as my top poem of all time.

It's arresting.

Bukowski's 'Roll the Dice' & Kariara's 'Grass Will Grow' follow closely.

I do not know which hurts more as we age: to want kids but know you can't have them because you do not have enough to look after them, or to have enough & want kids but be unable to sire any on account of infertility. One doesn't have, thus can't. One has, and still can't.

😂😂😂This is what Gad Saad means by 'the parasitic mind'. We have completely lost sense. It's utter nonsense.

I think kindness is the greatest marker of intelligence. Not only does it demand emotional intelligence, it also calls upon its purveyor to map out the consequences of their action before they enact it by decentering themselves. The majority can't do that.

God knows I tried. I just can't eat oxtail. Or its soup. It tastes terrible. Like a goddamn pencil rubber.

Please go watch this documentary. It's amazing.
Also, the landscapes are to die for.

Shetland is arguably the most beautiful place on earth. I hope those who live there know how lucky they are.

6. The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky (1880)

Part family drama, part theological drama, Dostoevsky's masterpiece is a passionate exploration of faith, free will, and familial bonds, told through the lives of a father and his sons.

Arguably the best book in the list. Maugham writes like it's his last breath, in every sentence. Every full stop.

I read that book called Mstahiki Meya by Timothy M. Arege where the government used to give a holiday to its citizens so that they could forget their suffering. I believe this regime understood the assignment given in this book. Cheneo Kuna uozo tele
