We are honoured that His Majesty The King has chosen to continue his Royal Patronage of the Wordsworth Trust.

This is a tremendous endorsement of the continuing importance of Wordsworth, and of the work we do to fulfil the poet's own wish, that his poetry 'live and do good.'

Wordsworth Grasmere I often listen to Dorothy’s Journal on my walks - I have the book too from The Grove Bookshop - and it’s a joy to listen to. I feel I’m by the lake or on my way to Ambleside and worry slightly that she has another headache. Truly absorbing. 🌿

On this day in 1800, Dorothy Wordsworth began her Grasmere journal: 'I resolved to write a journal of the time till W & J return, & I set about keeping my resolve because I will not quarrel with myself, & because I shall give Wm Pleasure by it when he comes home again.'

One of my favourite days of the academic year: visiting our MA students at their chosen work experience locations -Brantwood, Hill Top National Trust, & Wordsworth Grasmere. We are so lucky to have such wonderful partners in order to enrich our student experience in this way 📚
