I encourage you all to work on these ideas in your own spheres and take the ‘ #VisibilityMatters campaign forward in your domains. Let us all work for fair representation in justice sector howsoever we can.

Lastly, I am grateful for all the feedback, comments, suggestions, and recommendations as that would help us improve and develop this endeavour going forward.

I also want to thank all those who nominated the participants, as well as the participants for sharing their journeys with us and to everyone who took the time to come and visit the exhibition especially from our of city, I value that immensely and wholeheartedly.

I must also mention all well-wishers who sent us shout out videos and messages, our male allies and female colleagues, seniors and officials who visited or participated in one way or another.

I want to take this opportunity to appreciate and express my gratitude to all the volunteers from different schools and my teammates Areeha, Fatima and Tabeen, Ibrahim & Zohra who worked with me to make this event a huge success.

Especially encouraging was to receive delegations from different schools including LACAS, LGS, BHS, QLC and Khushali Fellows.

Also had colleagues from AGHS Legal Aid Cell, Asma Jahangir's Law Firm visit. Was happy to have a visit from Hamza Ijaz and colleagues from Alpha Think Tank.

Other notable visitors included members from civil society, law and arts including Salima Hashmi, Nayer Ali Dada, Nasrene Rehman, Nighat Said Khan, Mary James Gill, Nighat Dad, Bushra Qamar, Rabbiya Bajwa, Sabahat Rizvi, Muhammad Ahmad Pansota, Usama Malik & reps from PM Youth Programme.

I was delighted to welcome the ambassadors and representatives from Netherlands, Denmark, Canada and FCDO as well as colleagues from bar and members of judiciary amongst others.

As 50% of the population, women’s representation should be a matter of equality and not diversity.

The event was attended by 500+ participants from all parts of the country including Quetta, Peshawar, Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore.

The Hon'ble Justice said, 'you cannot include what you cannot see'. She also talked about the need for working for equality and pushing for equality as a goal as opposed to women being given token representation to check diversity as a metric.

We were also privileged to have had Hon'ble Justice Ayesha Malik, Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan as our Guest of Honour for the closing session who in her speech articulated why #VisibilityMatters in words that could not have been more appropriate.

It was an absolute honour for us to have the Secretary of Women Development Department Sumaira Samad as our Guest of Honour at the opening session who lauded the initiative to create awareness of the contributions of women and of bringing their stories out.

Woah! Can't believe it has been a week already since we held a 3 day historic photo exhibition in Lahore marking 100 years of the law that removed doubts about women's eligibility to practice law.

I am also deeply grateful to the organisers, especially Mariam Khan for recognising my work and contribution to the conference as speaker and sectoral head.
