ALDER BUCKTHORN - If we had to choose one plant, this is it!
With attractive green leaves, small white flowers & red and black fruit, all of which are food for insects & birds.
It's the food plant of Brimstone, Holly Blue and Green Hairstreak butterfly caterpillars.
On website.

February may be our shortest month, but it's jampacked with wildlife! Keep an eye out for these species this month πŸ‘€
