As part of his commitment to closely collaborate with Member States in the Region, Dr Piukala has already visited 10 countries, engaging with leaders, health workers, and WHO staff to understand their concerns, priorities, and goals.

Today marks Dr Saia Ma’u Piukala’s first 100 days in office as the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for the Western Pacific.

From tackling health inequities to climate challenges, his leadership weaves a vision to transform healthcare across diverse communities in the Region.
