Around 20,000 people in Northern Ireland won’t start treatment on time over the next five years unless emergency action is taken to protect patients. The Northern Ireland Executive must now develop an emergency stabilisation plan, prioritising patients at the highest risk.

The Health Minister spoke at the Cancer Research UK showcase event at Stormont's Long Gallery. Minister Nesbitt reiterated his commitment to reducing waiting times and improving outcomes for all cancer patients in Northern Ireland.
