So thankful Marquee Arts is showing “The People’s Joker” - a super silly/campy trans coming of age story set in Gotham City. The movie has such a specific point of view and it made it such a joy. My screening was VERY queer with lots of hooting and hollering.

Vera Drew at the Art Theatre in Long Beach for a screening of THE PEOPLE’S JOKER. A hilarious presence. Drew ranted about Lorne Michaels, her favorite trippy Nickelodeon animation, and Batman’s gayness. A night was had.
