So the Post Office MD Alan Cook 2006-10 says he 'didn't realise' it was the Post Office making the prosecutions + thought 'subbies had their hand in the till'.

Really bad at his job then.

This has just got good - SirMichael Hodgkinson admits to Sam Stein KC that when he was chair of a prosecuting authority (the Post Office) he didn't know this at first. He only found out late in his tenure, and admits making no effort to find out if the PO was prosecuting fairly.

This is a tragic case and should be reopened.

The Post Office have either destroyed records or in some cases lost them. Where that is the situation, we should err on the side of the victim. #PostOfficeScandal
