I think the honesty of articles like this is good but i also think it's important to note that the issues keeping writers unemployed right now (industry contraction) have more to do with interest rates and more open/clear streaming accounting than the strike itself.

I don’t read my pitches but I have a very successful friend with a much nicer house than mine (that he owns and doesn’t rent like I do) who reads all his pitches. You should pitch however you personally are best at pitching.
