I was lost for words last night after Ipswich Witches Jason Doyle gave me a present. I designed these leathers for Dad when I was 14. I liked them so much I wore them for my first season at Hackney. Jason bought them and had them sent from Aus after Dad passed. What a bloke.

On this day #OTD Wembley Stadium. The day after #Cornation festivities the Wembley Lions #Speedway team belatedly begin their home fixtues v New Cross. Always delayed by Stadium commitments 1937 home fixtures saw two Lion Cub mascots appear, looked after by mechanic Cyril Spinks
