NEW: The US through USAID and Population, Refugees, and Migration Bureau is providing nearly $220M in humanitarian aid to help the people of Yemen, incl. nearly $200M from USAID. The new aid will help partners continue reaching millions of people with vital nutrition, safe water, health care, and other support.

Life-saving USAID food assistance, nutrition support, and other relief supplies for the people of Gaza are arriving in Cyprus in preparation for transport via the maritime corridor. The needs are staggering, and we are working to get more aid on the way to the most vulnerable.

Today Samantha Power announced USAID is providing $200 million to support the prevention & treatment of child wasting, the most life-threatening form of malnutrition. The funding will help ensure orgs like MANA Nutrition are able to produce specialized nutritious foods, like RUTFs.

Since war broke out in Sudan at least 23 aid workers have been killed. Heartbreaking to see that 2 ICRC staff were killed today. Humanitarians must be able to safely provide lifesaving assistance to vulnerable people to meet urgent food, nutrition, health, and protection needs.

The humanitarian crisis in Burkina Faso is dire. Communities are cut off from aid and 6.3M people need assistance. In response, USAID is providing nearly $55M to address urgent food and nutrition needs. Our partners are working to save lives, but humanitarian access is needed.
