Improving gender equity in health care requires gender-responsive policies to support and protect both health workers and patients. USAID USAID Integrated Health Program (IHP) trained 2,387 health workers and government gender desk officers to strengthen the gender-based violence response system. #WHWWeek
To reduce newborn mortality in Nigeria, USAID USAID Integrated Health Program (IHP) trained and mentored health workers in 40 newly established special care baby units, on using special equipment for small & sick newborns as well as identifying and treating diseases in newborns & children.
