52yr old Meenara from #Bangladesh suffered from constant urine leakage for 20 years after childbirth. She is one of nearly half a million women and girls worldwide, living with obstetric fistula.

Women with obstetric #fistula face shame & isolation, and are often shunned from their communities. Yet, it is a condition that is largely preventable & treatable.

During a visit to #Afghanistan , I saw firsthand how UNFPA and our partners work on the ground to ensure fistula
