Outstanding new initiative bolsters UK firearm’s license application, whilst also ensuring a robust approach to the Homicide Timeline 8 Steps, safeguarding victims & children. This model actively prevents domestic abuse related deaths.

The partners of all gun licence applicants are being asked questions for the first time as five police forces seek to strengthen licensing processes. The initiative has been developed by Gwent Police with the help of domestic abuse survivors. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

CONVICTED: Carrie Slater, 37, was killed after being shot at home, by her partner, near Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire on 21 September 2023. Richard Basson, 44, who had been violent to her during their relationship has been found guilty of murder.

We noted 32 firearm reports last week, including 4 of police seizing firearms in raids to disrupt county lines drug gangs. Guns are used by these criminals to intimidate and harm vulnerable people.
