UFCW Local 135’s Maribel, Ehileen & Sarah attended the UFCW Women’s Network Convention on May 15-17. The Network, headed by Deliana Speights from UFCW Local 1428, empowers UFCW sisters to take a stand and become central parts of the labor movement. Props to all who organized it.

On Sat, UFCW Local 135 President Todd Walters provided some #solidarity by joining Teamsters Local 542 members on the picket line at US Foods in Vista. Following the rejection of 4 contract offers, these workers have taken to the streets in an Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) strike.
