#OnThisDay in 1876, the death of William Wilde, prolific polymath, husband of Speranza and father to Oscar. His handwritten copy of History of Irish Medicine and Popular Cures is held here in UCD Special Collections, and includes cures for everything from headaches to witchcraft.
