This is not proper animal handling protocol for a quetzalcoatlus. You’re supposed to tuck the beak under your armpit and hold the wings closed against your body. Lazy.

our Cretaceous Garden includes fossils? The plants growing in this exhibit are living relatives of vegetation that grew in Alberta during the Cretaceous Period. If you look closely, you’ll notice a hadrosaur footprint and some petrified wood among the plants.

Absolutely horrific that, in an age of rising distrust of science, administrators with apparently no concept of what a museum is meant to be have the power to gut the institution to the bone to sell it as an 'attraction'...

The Perot Museum prep team got creative to safely glue together chunks of a big lower jaw + maxilla we collected a couple summers ago. Kitty litter tub and giant sandbox to the rescue!

🚨New paper!!🚨Fantastic work by Hank Sharpe on the skull anatomy of our wee Edmontosaurus, nicknamed Gary. I discovered Gary in 2017, but it was a major team effort finished off by Annie McIntosh, Mark James Powers and an army of volunteers.
