Martin Lewis Definitely worse off. They could live comfortably in a detached house in Surrey on one wage (70’s and 80’s) have hotel holidays etc. 2 wage teacher household here. With children. Debt from helping 2 sons through uni, mortgage prisoners, camping holiday if we are lucky.
