Our U16 football team in action today against Mountmellick in the 2nd round of the North Leinster championship. The lads fought until the very end, edging the win by a single point, with a final score of 5-04 to 3-09.

On Friday, a group of Junior and Senior students attended a Linguistics workshop hosted in Tullamore College in preparation for their participation in the All Ireland Linguistics Olympiad in January. The students had to put their problem-solving and logic skills to the test.

Congratulations to our past pupils, Emma and Amélie, who were awarded DCU Entrance Scholarships. Emma Hanlon is studying Psychology, and Amélie Le Bourhis is studying Environmental Science. They are both thriving in 3rd level and enjoying their courses.

Past pupil, Róisín Conlon, was recently presented with a Dr HH Stewart Literary award ( Gaeilge) at the 2023 National University of Ireland Awards Ceremony held in Croke Park.
Róisín is studying Gaeilge agus Aistriúchán in the University of Galway.

Well done to our Senior French Debating team (Isobel McAuliffe -captain, Eva McDowell Flynn, Abbie Maunsell and Robert Maher) for their fantastic group effort. They won against Mount Carmel in the second round of the Alliance Française Joutes Oratoires competition.

Well done to the Boys Senior Soccer team on their emphatic 6-0 win over Wilson’s Hospital School played at Leah Victoria Park on Friday last.

This week, the fifth year students had the lovely opportunity to meet Gráinne Walsh, who represents Ireland in boxing, and Sinéad Hanniffy from the local Credit Union. Gráinne brought the students on a journey of her many successes but also her challenges along the way.

TY students travelled to County Clare to experience the birds of prey show and visit the Aillwee caves as part of their geographical studies .Thank you to their teachers, Ms. Fox, Mr Quirke , Mr Feighrey, and Ms Coughlan for accompanying them.

5MD Hotel Catering and Tourism class enjoyed a very educational hands-on trip to Solas Portarlington today .They learned about the history of Tea and Coffee, did barista coffee making and decorating along with making pizza.

LC2A students enjoyed a wreath-making workshop in Solas Portarlington.They hope to share these skills with some of the junior classes in the next few weeks

Congratulations to our Boys' U15 soccer team, who played against Templemichael College today. Our boys won 4-0 with 22 players gaining some valuable game experience. All players played their part and are looking forward to the rest of the season.

Tullamore College was proud to be at the launch of the LOETB STEAM initiative in Castle Buildings last week. We had four students talking about the Coding Club in Tullamore College and the VEX Robotics.

Huge thanks to the wonderful Mind&Body for visiting the choir from Tullamore College yesterday. Today I spoke about my journey and tips around songwriting and the different job avenues within the music industry and the work that goes in before a song is even distributed. It was so wholesome! The students were receptive. I shared some music with them and got great feedback!
