To be honest, Trump exceeded my expectations during his first term.

The mf was much worse than I expected.

Today is going to be a nice day. Our school is doing some community outreach, so I’m driving a shuttle for a local Jewish congregation’s Rosh Hashanah services.

I know very little about Rosh Hashanah, so I’m excited to learn something new today.

Working the gate for football again tonight. A parent who lives close by legit brought me dinner just because. Homemade bbq sandwich with pickled onions, as well as chips and a water.

My darling wife made me a first day of the school year care package. It had some novelty light saber ink pens, a piece of Johnny Cash wall art for my guitar book, miniature Kit Kats, and two cans of Red Bull.

She knows me so well 🥲

My child has somehow internalized in her adorable little head that beef is a method of preparation and not a distinct type of food.

So whenever she asks for chicken, we ask what kind (fried, grilled, etc) and she responds “CHICKEN BEEF!”

Great start to a gig tonight. Couldn’t find my mouthpiece, had to run home to grab it.

Couldn’t find it at home. Had to run to school. It wasn’t there, so I had to grab a school horn mouthpiece.

40 minutes late and playing on a tiny 12C instead of my normal mouthpiece. 😩

Wonders never cease. My toddler waited until I was on the toilet to shout to me that the “tv wasn’t working”. Apparently “I’ll be down in a moment” wasn’t good enough, and she brought me the remote upstairs.

I had fun today. I got to put on a banana costume and play djembe while dancing for a kids’ concert.

It’s also very hot outside, so I got quite a workout.

The tradition of my toddler getting me gifts that are just stuff she wants to play with continues. She got me a set of Hot Wheels for Father’s Day.

So we spent this morning playing race cars and building ramps out of stuff we had lying around.

My summer camp this week got cancelled because we didn’t have enough sign up. But they needed an extra coordinator, so I got bumped up. It’s been a fun week of walking, walking, walking, checking spaces for students, and walking.

Good thing my headphones are charged.

For a fun evening workout, I broke apart our gross old sofa with an axe. It was already gross, old, and breaking when we moved here eight years ago, and it’s been a dog sofa ever since.

But don’t worry, they still have a sofa. And so do we.
