Dear lovely travel PRs, yet another reminder that if you have a press release showcasing a new product, please include how much it costs. Readers really do like to know that kind of detail. Wastes your time and mine having to ask. Thanks!

Door of No Return at House of Slaves museum in Goree island, Senegal. Slaves were forced, in chains, through this door on to ships bound for the Americas, never to see Africa again. A compelling insight into a harrowing part of history. Part of an excellent tuiuk excursion

Fadiouth island cemetery in Senegal. Like Fadiouth itself, built entirely on clam shells discarded by fishermen over 800 years. The cemetery is shared between Christians and Muslims. Something different and a v good tuiuk excursion. Recommended

We are hiring - Daily Mirror online reporter job, one year contract as part of maternity cover. Involves dealing with Nick, who maintains it's Neil who is the high maintenance one. Both a bit dodgy if you ask me
