Research for an article on #Devon took an unexpected twist in #Clovelly yesterday when I discovered my Gt. Gt. Gt. g/father saved the lives of 13 from a shipwreck in 1869, before the #RNLI station was built. The ship came from Genoa. Think this might need research in Italy soon!
