Friends tell friends about jobs in my team saving the world. We are a broad church: we wouldn't take an epi person outside our interests; but a mathmo, a developer, a security geek...

This is wild. Unless it's someone I know well, I don't even know the gender of the first author of lots of the stuff I cite.

This is a really important paper. I don't know what the RMET (Reading the Mind in the Eyes Test) measures, and neither does anyone else. There is very little evidence for its validity as a measure of 'empathy' or other constructs it's purported to measure. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

I have a PhD scholarship for maths/stats student to start in early 2024. The aim is to detect fraudulent papers that were created by paper mills. Will involve large data, text mining, and prediction modelling. Please get in touch if you're interested.

I am getting DTC ads for Zolgensma which seems like an odd drug to market DTC, given that it is a lifesaving medicine for a very rare disease that needs treatment. I wouldn’t expect you need to “ask your doctor.”

Also why me? Do parents of kids with SMA play online Scrabble?
