This was a great event Transparency International UK & U.S. Embassy London. Very much appreciate the focus on the human stories & human impact behind corruption as well as the focus on the global networks that foster impunity & that all governments, esp US & UK, have important role in dismantling.
Corruption is an international and national security risk that directly results from the human cost that corruption imposes. We have the tools to combat this, if we have the courage to use them. Richard Nephew opens Transparency International UK U.S. Embassy London event in London
Been listening to a fantastic panel of speakers at our Transparency International UK event about the human cost of corruption, kindly hosted by Coordinator Richard Nephew U.S. Embassy London.
That’s it for this year’s annual event!
Thank you to our expert international panel for their insights, to everyone who attended or joined us online, and to U.S. Embassy London for hosting.

We're all becoming used to headlines about the latest #corruption scandal here in the UK or elsewhere, says Daniel Bruce.
What is left out of these stories all too often is why these corrupt acts matter – the damage done and their corrosive effect.
We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone attending our annual event this evening.
Our expert international panel will be exploring the consequences of #corruption and the solutions needed to tackle it.
For those unable to join us, we’ll be tweeting some highlights!
TOMORROW: Join us at 2pm GMT when expert speakers from DAI, International Budget Partnership, INTOSAI Development Initiative and Africa Freedom of Information Centre (AFIC) will be exploring how we can tackle corruption throughout the public financial management cycle in the health sector.
