It is a seven minute drive from the hospital to the Rafah crossing, which Israel controls. That the US has not managed to get these American medical staff out of Gaza, and get new aid workers in to replace them, is a scandal of insane proportions.

This is good, important reporting. But nothing about it is new or necessarily revelatory. This is why people talk about 'settlers' and 'colonialism' in regards to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
