On the last day of my trip to Niigata, I visited Yukyuzan Park, located about 10 minutes by bus from Nagaoka Station. The double cherry blossoms next to the Japanese garden in the park were beautiful. Of course, the Yoshino cherry trees were all scattered.

These are the last photos from this trip to Ishikawa Prefecture. These four photos were all taken around Kanazawa Castle. We were lucky with the weather on this trip, and happy to be able to make it just in time to see the cherry blossoms.

A Japanese garden on the grounds of Kanazawa Castle. It was a garden that was loved by successive feudal lords, but was abolished during the Meiji period. What you can see today is a reproduction based on the remains and drawings from the time.

On this trip, I was able to take so many photos of both Kenrokuen and Kanazawa Castle that I was at a loss as to which ones to choose. The photos were taken behind the castle. 公園

Kanazawa Castle is adjacent to Kenrokuen Garden. We were still able to enjoy the cherry blossoms inside the Castle. The Kanazawa Castle building seen in the photos was restored in the 2000s. Photographed on April 13th. 公園

Between Kenrokuen Garden and Kanazawa Castle in Kanazawa City, there is a teahouse district like the one in the last photo. The other three photos were taken of Kanazawa Castle from around this teahouse district.

The street between Kenrokuen and Kanazawa Castle is also lined with cherry blossom trees, making it a sight to behold.

The cherry blossoms at Kenrokuen had begun to fall, but that made the scene even more beautiful. The last photo shows a carpet made of fallen cherry blossom petals.

Dinner at a Japanese-style hotel in Kaga Onsen. The second photo is a fish called Nodoguro. The last photo is of breakfast the next day. All of these are typical Japanese-style hotel meals.

On this trip to Ishikawa Prefecture, I spent one night at Kaga Onsen and then two nights in Kanazawa. The photos were taken at a Japanese garden called Kenrokuen in Kanazawa. The cherry blossoms were starting to fall, but I made it just in time.

One of the highlights of Natadera Temple is the strangely shaped rocks you can see in the photos. Shinto and Buddhism have been fused in mountain worship that has continued since ancient times. Therefore, the torii gates of the shrine can be seen inside this temple.

The first photo was taken from in front of the gate of Natadera Temple. The second is a beautiful moss carpet beside the road leading to the main hall. The main hall is on the right end of the quay in the third photo. The fourth photo is the slope leading up to the bell tower.

The next day, visited Natadera Temple near the hotel I stayed at. It is an old temple with a history of 1300 years. I stayed here for over 2 hours and took lots of photos. The first place I photographed was the Kondo Hall, which is located immediately to the left after the gate.

On April 11th, my wife and I stayed one night at a Japanese-style hotel in Kaga Onsen, Ishikawa Prefecture. The photos are of a dog-friendly accommodation located behind the hotel. The guests were playing with their dogs while the cherry blossoms were in full bloom.

Today I had to go to Ueno, and on the way back I took around 30 minute walk around Ueno Park. The cherry blossoms had passed their peak and were beginning to disperse.
