Were the olden days great? There's a statue in Letterkenny that's thought provoking.
It highlights the blight of poverty and one of the ways families tried to deal with it.

I can't imagine the desperation needed to hire out your children to make ends meet

I've cycled up the Fanad peninsula in #Donegal to Rathmullan House which was originally built, a squillion years ago, by the Bishop of Derry as his holiday home.
