Th Cat and the Canary (1927) is phenomenal - it's like a haunted house precursor to Knives Out.

Incredibly well written, acted, and directed, it's an exemplary mystery, a laugh-out-loud character comedy, and a moody Gothic ghost story.

The Eureka Entertainment release is well worth it.

#NowWatching Takashi Miike’s YAKUZA DEMON. When I find a Miike movie I’ve not seen before it is always exciting, but when it stars Riki Takeuchi and has Yakuza in the title then it’s go time! This has a similar story to DEADLY OUTLAW: REKKA but eschews the spectacle for fatalism!
