The week after we wrote it, we played it to Jon. He loved it and made it his own - it was so inspiring that we ended up writing another couple of songs straight away - namely Indian Rope and The Only One I Know.

Jon Brookes was on holiday we rehearsed anyway, in Wednesdbury. Martin had a bassline and I had a biscuit tin with holes drilled in the lid and a hole in the the bottom where u could insert the mic. It sounded cosmic and I wanted to write our Strawberry Fields / Penny Lane.
