Months of losing took place and it will be a tough slog next season but the got the No. 1 pick and that means Macklin Celebrini will be at the heart of their rebirth. On a momentous day for the Celebrini family and the franchise.

Probably the best NHL draft lottery outcome from a perspective.

Vancouver-born Bedard/Celebrini combo in CHI would've been painful.

Celebrini with the Ducks young stars would've posed an immediate threat.

Celebrini in SJS? Feel good story and they're still years away.

Are there enough fans to keep a team in the NHL’s smallest market?

It's a question that frustrates me. I see the passion every day. It's also a question whose answer can only be explored by taking the greatest of care.

Dan Robson takes that care here:

HC Andrew Brunette says this was only the second time in his career that he left a best of 7 series and wasn’t convinced that the best team won

Knoblauch does not rule out Henrique (ankle) for Game 1, but he sounds unlikely to play.
Janmark would start on LW with McDavid, but look for a bit of a rotation there.
Brown enters the lineup at 4th line RW.

Evander Kane is skating at Oilers practice today. Adam Henrique is not. Mattias Janmark continues to take Henrique’s spot with Connor McDavid and Zach Hyman.

Sources say goalie Thatcher Demko is out through at least Game 4 of this Round 2 series vs. .

Demko has been skating and progressing. Big week ahead. Earliest possible return is Game 5 and that is probably pushing it. But Games 6-7 get interesting, if necessary.

It’s my annual draft lottery power rankings:
- Who needs it most?
- Who actually deserves it?
- Who might trade the pick?
- And what’s this year’s big conspiracy?
