A couple of hours ago Laura Kuenssberg was suggesting that this could go to Susan Hall. At the last polling a day or two ago she was trailing by 10 pts. This was nothing but CCHQ disinformation repeated by her as fact.

Brexit has to be the biggest mis-selling adventure in history.

The Tories are now getting their comeuppance from offering Brexit boosterism which was always ‘sweets laced with poison’.

Keep the receipts, broken promises can be forgiven but never forgotten.…

Dominic Grieve: 'The Tories core policy of brexit is not delivering the change that was promised... no advantages from it whatsoever... Sunak can do nothing to change that, b/c his 2 predecessors were ghastly... one was a charlatan & the 2nd one pursued crazy policies.'

It means a nation once proud to stand against the abuse of human rights has surrendered all of its principles for vain political reasons.

Source close to Sadiq Khan says they're 'really worried' about the result in London which they still expect to be 'really close'.

Worth saying the final YouGov poll gave him a 22 point lead over Susan Hall. Would be the worst polling fail in history if she manages to somehow win

If Hall does well tomorrow it will be based - like Brexit - on lies and xenophobia.

Lies that Sadiq Khan was proposing a pay-per-mile scheme for drivers

Racist lies (from Trump himself) that he is some Islamist extremist

Tory campaign sources now very confident that Susan Hall has beaten Sadiq Khan, according to Lord Ed Vaizey on Times Radio. If correct this would be one of the worst ever polling blunders as well as a disaster for London

The amount of coverage given to the Green Party, who have so far won 159 seats in these elections, compared to Reform UK, who have won two, has been quite something

It’s like a PM from the “Basics” range, entirely made of plastic, has only two settings, smells of burning as soon as you plug him in, and turns out to be a total waste of money.

Do you think we could leave Sunak outside Downing St, with a “PLEASE TAKE” sign taped to his head?

NEW: Labour say they have won the York and North Yorkshire mayor election (which covers the PM's own Richmond seat).

Labour spokesperson: 'This is a truly historic result. Keir Starmer's Labour party is now winning in Rishi Sunak’s backyard.'

Theme of the results so far is Labour vote really turning out in places they need to win for general election. Labour just won their biggest majority on Swindon Council they've had since the 1990s.

Footage we took in Hampton, Herne Bay, last night 🤢

We couldn't say categorically what it is, though we certainly wouldn't fancy swimming in it.
