Nicole Sweeney π€πΆ Jackie was such a sweet and deep guy. I played with him with Mal Waldron and Andrew Cyrille (and subbing for my friend Reggie Workman) and I was shaking in my boots realizing I was there with the giants of the history of our music. What an experience!
Nicole Sweeney π€πΆ Playing with Betty was one of the greatest moments of my career. She was very sweet to me but at the same time she demanded that you bring everything you got to the gig. She demanded your total dedication but she gave so much back. You could never match what you got from her.
