The Boy Scouts were an important part of my childhood, especially as a boy who had no father at home.

“Ignoring poverty for decades” is quite a take considering there was a failed war on poverty waged.

Failing is not the same as ignoring and should teach different lessons — for example: there is only so much governments can do to alleviate certain issues and some responsibility
