He worked in child protection and helps migrants and refugees settle in Australia.

He sits on many boards and set up his own charity, Kamara's Heart Foundation.

An outstanding Australian. TAS would be lucky to have him in parliament.

John Kamara has a fundamental right to be judged on the merit of his ideas, not his ethnicity.

The attacks directed at him, for putting his hand up to represent his community are abhorrent and have no place in Tasmania.

The racist abuse directed at John Kamara on social media has no place in Australia.

John has dedicated his life to helping those around him.

He has the support of millions of Australians around the country who believe in a welcoming and inclusive Australia.
