The 1st Reveille was given title of Cadet General by the US Army. Upon death in 1944, she received a formal military funeral on the 50-yard-line at Kyle Field & was buried at the north entrance facing the scoreboard.

The 1st Reveille was a small mutt found on the road in 1931. Members of the Fightin’ Aggie Band took it back to the dorm. The next morning it started barking when “Reveille” was blown, hence the name “Reveille.”
