During the month of April, Smitty’s Oyster House in Vancouver is donating 25 cents from every oyster served after 6pm to support ODT #research !
This fundraiser is led by owner Matt Thompson, a liver recipient who knows the value of research for advancing transplant medicine.🔬💚

It was another fantastic collaboration between TRF, VCH Research Institute and BC SUPPORT Unit to help demystify the world of research for patients and caregivers.

On #InternationalWomansDay we honor the incredible women involved in the world of organ donation and transplantation.
We are fortunate to have 6 of those brilliant and tenacious individuals serve on the TRF Board of Directors, supporting the work and vision of our organization.

In 2022, TRF funded Josie Mackey and her team from Providence Health Care for their project exploring a peer mentorship program. Through formal peer support it is hoped patients will be better connected and more knowledgeable to navigate the heart transplant process. #HeartMonth

As a young child, Abby underwent a heart transplant. 18 years later she is thriving and pursuing a degree in communications.
