To sell into the EU a you will need to meet that regulation. Hence why companies as big as Boeing make all products to meet EU regulation Because itโs too expensive to have 2 different production lines the Brussels effect

Developed by industry of course who are the experts but the regulation is set politically through acts of parliament. The U.K. will need to meet EU regulation like the CE mark to see to Europe. There will be no huge bonfire of regulations.

Most regulations are drafted or at least edited by industry, esp in technical fields. The CE mark is a bad example for you as in your field it is covered by RED, written by industry and national experts (some words are mine) not the EU.

BSI wasnt the UK government but they issued something called British Standards. Of course the EU works with/through industry to define standards. GSM is a good example, standard set by industry group and adopted by EU.
