#wildflowerhour A visit to Weirwood nature reserve with the Friends of. Highlights Alder Carr with Valeriana dioica. Male plants I think. Plus 3 nerved Sandwort - poor pic so tiny. Moehringia trinervia and Adders-Tongue Fern - a bit nibbled.
#wildflower_hour #CowslipChallenge By chance a solitary cowslip on a nearby estate verge - no idea from whence it came. A bumper week for green winged orchids and a few early purples in the local bluebell woods in East Sussex. Peak bluebells this week.
#wildflowerhour A cheery patch of Common Dog Violet by a village path in East Sussex. Quick phone photo so not the best quality.
#WildFlowerHour #WoodlandPlants Although the local Bluebell woods are largely green, there are occasional ones flowering, East Sussex. Wood Anemones going strong in Birchden Beech Woods plus a little Oxalis. Stitchwort and Common Dog Violet too locally.
wildflowerhour #DandelionChallenge on my local walk this pm after the heavy overnight rain the dandelions have mostly gone over. But itβs a chance to see the ribbed fruit and parachute of white hairs ready to be dispersed by the wind. Now what time is it?
wildflowerhour #PinkFamily GreaterStitchwort, Red Campion,Sea Campion, Bog Stitchwort, Ragged Robin plus I think Sea Mouse-ear and Heath Pearlwort on a very floriferous N.Pembrokeshire coastline and inland. Beautiful #wildflowerid BSBI: Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland
wildflowerhour #treeflowers BSBI: Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland A bit late but local wild cherry in full bloom plus bluebells naturalised from my hedge into the garden. Not concerned by winter water logging! Hard not to take their picture.
D M Wright BSBI: Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland
Lots of Sanicle (in second post) and Wood Spurge Wakehurst plus cowslips, bog bean and a fumitory in the specimen beds. Not forgetting the amazing bluebells!
Moira O'Donnell wildflowerhour BSBI: Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland It is teeny tiny and likes the bare ground. Very hard to photo. Thanks for the iD.
Moira O'Donnell I was given a local location last year but couldnβt find it but this year went back and did. So really pleased too!
Brian Laney wildflowerhour BSBI: Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland Interesting- I saw this on a verge this afternoon and wondered what it was!!
Sue Greig π³πΈ BSBI: Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland I can completely sympathise! They are a serious challenge to photograph, especially with my phone camera.
