Again and again, the only violence we see at these protests has been from cops ordered to assault students, faculty, and staff by craven administrators.

Cops off our campuses, full stop!

Every union local in the country should be running youth education programs like this and I am not joking in the least. As usual, the Alabama labor movement is on it

who’s ready for 2074, when all the suspended and arrested students get brought back as guest speakers for “50 years of student resistance” panels and dinners probably while other students are getting arrested outside for some other thing 🙃

All of this is happening to defend universities' right to invest in a genocide without students being mad at them

Columbia's web page discussing its regret for calling in police to arrest students in 1968 is displaying a warning about limited access due to NYPD on campus arresting students.

May Columbia never live this down.

People will curse Joe Biden's name in future for what he's done to support genocide. He allowed a medieval slaughter to descend on millions of people & spends his days reading the last rites to what little pretence of democracy existed in his country

A question I'd ask the American political elite is how many students and professors are you willing to beat into a pulp in order to shield Israel from perfectly legitimate criticism based on widely shared principles?

I will do everything in my power to help the students who are penalized for protesting. I will put you in contact with other lawyers. I will write you a character letter. I will be a reference. Whatever you need. The good people are on your side. History is on your side

had a couple of tweets get some traction tonight and given a horrifying glimpse of how many people want to see students murdered over their political beliefs. fascism alive and well in the US.

Noticing some folks reasoning that particular students don't deserve a militant police response bc they are 'peaceful.' I don't care if students break windows, shove back, or throw things; none of them deserve a militarized police response. They're protesting a genocide.

There are campuses that have managed these protests without major incident. The people who decided to help the right-wing thrive are Shafik, Adams, Hochul, and ultimately Joe Biden.

I’m told that NYPD aren’t supposed to be allowed on campus without faculty senate approval and faculty senate has not approved this

We need to recognize this for what it is, which is not only trying to shut down actions against genocide but using this as a pretext to grab power
