See, Donnie? Your half-a-billion-dollar judgment in the fraud case was small potatoes compared to this, so shut your goddamn pie hole. cbsnews.com/news/vietnam-p… via @GoogleNews

Chico 'playing a little piano' as he recovers from an auto accident in April of 1932 that shattered his knee and broke several ribs. 'Horse Feathers' filming was held up for 2 months and when he returned to do the football scene, he was wearing heavy leg guards and he limped.

Rare photo of the now-extinct Fire-Breathing Perelman Monster, 1974. (But how did he get the smoke to come out of only one nostril?)

Groucho, Harpo, Gummo, Zeppo and Chico celebrate the publication of Groucho's memoir - 'Groucho and Me' - in 1959. This was among the last photos taken of all five brothers together. (Still hard for me to believe I actually got to know three of them.....)

Has Trump tried to take credit yet for blocking out the sun, threatening to make it permanent if he doesn't win in November?

Contrary to rumors, these are NOT appropriate for viewing the eclipse - only for viewing the apocalypse, which is still some months off.

On this day in 1892, Mary Pickford was born in Toronto, Canada. In October of 1943, my Great Aunt Mary attended an event at Pickfair honoring the Jewish Home For The Aged. At the event, Pickford - in the center of this photo from that event - signed my great aunt's invitation.

Dramatically lit 'candid' shot of Harpo on the phone (!) in the MGM commissary during a break in the filming of 'A Day at the Races,' early 1937. He's probably enjoying a bowl of MGM's famous chicken soup, from a recipe provided by Louis B. Mayer's mother.

The 1925 Broadway musical-comedy, 'The Cocoanuts,' with Groucho as 'Henry W. Schlemmer' and Chico as 'Willie the Wop.'(!) For the 1929 film, Groucho's name was changed to the less-ethnic 'Mr. Hammer' and Chico became 'Chico' (also called 'Signor Pastrami' by Groucho and Dumont).

On this day in 1917, Robert Albert Bloch was born in Chicago, Illinois. This prolific author is best known for having penned the novel 'Psycho.' When I met him, I facetiously asked if anyone had ever asked him to sign a shower curtain. 'As a matter of fact, yes,' he replied.

Original Paramount trade ad from August 30, 1930 trying to convince film exhibitors and theatre owners to book 'Animal Crackers,' pointing out its comedic - and potential revenue-generating - superiority to 'The Cocoanuts.'
