TJ could have worked to repeal the 1864 law—he didn’t. He could have worked for exceptions to rape and incest—he didn’t. The outcome today was the intended result, the words of politicians running scared of the consequences of their action are meaningless.

Do not fall for this. This is the same R who tried to enshrine fetal personhood into law which would have subjected Arizonans to an Alabama-style IVF nightmare. Their end goal is to strip us of our ability to make our own reproductive decisions.
