It’s a was a privilege to be a part of this event last weekend and to conclude the service with Ian’s “signature tune” the Sortie in E-flat by Léfebure-Wély.

This weekend St Nicholas Church will be open 14:00-16:00 on Saturday (20/04/23) for visiting and prayer, with an informal service of Evening Prayer at 15:45 in the Lady Chapel.

Our doors will then open again at 18:00 on Sunday (21/04/23) for our 18:30 weekly Eucharistic service.

Next week our service will include the unveiling of a memorial to our long-serving, and much missed Organist, Ian Imlay.

What an incredible start to Easter!

We had an incredible time making Polish Easter Baskets on Holy Saturday, singing hymns around the fire during our Easter Breakfast on Easter Sunday, and, of course, joining together for our Eucharist that evening!

There's a lot going on at St Nicks over the coming weeks. There's a craft night, afternoon workshops making traditional Polish Easter baskets, an early morning bonfire, some contemplative services of evening prayer, and, of course, our weekly Eucharists.

Come along and see!

There will NOT be a Community Night this Wednesday, the next Community Night will be our Easter Craft Night on the 20th.

Today the church doors will open at 18:00, in time for our 18:30 Eucharist.

The service will include a farewell to The Very Reverend Karen Rooms, who was Priest In Charge of St Nicholas' Church, before her installation as Dean of Leicester yesterday.

All are welcome.
