A reminder that if you have every taken part in a study or survey at the Autism Research Centre in Cambridge, or any other group affiliated to Spectrum 10k you can contact them, withdraw your consent and ask them to remove all data.
They don't deserve it.

Spectrum 10K must recognize that for the study to improve in accordance with the wishes of numerous autistic self-advocates, the design of the research must be entirely different.

Upon reading this letter from Health Research Authority as to why they concluded why Spectrum 10k is ethical and not eugenics, I have to say, this is just bullshit

One defense of their conclusion literally just says 'They said they do not like eugenics'

If anyone is considering sending a DNA sample from yourself of your child to the Spectrum 10k project please know these things first:

* your data can be used in future research looking at pre-natal testing for autism. If this existed before I was born, I would not be here. /1

“This description, along with the aim to “identify modifiable risk factors for autism”, appear to be in direct contrast with the summary of the study listed on Spectrum 10K’s official website”, where it said project aims to investigate factors that contribute to the wellbeing.

This clearly shows that the NHS' investigation of Spectrum 10k was faulty and not trustworthy. They didn't prove Spectrum 10k isn't a eugenics project, they just made a list of excuses, ones that can be disproven
