The radioisotope power technology has been developed in conjunction with National Nuclear Laboratory and funded by the European Space Agency and UK Space Agency.

Utilising Radioisotope Heater Units (RHUs) developed by the space nuclear power group at Space Park Leicester, ispace Series 3 lunar lander & rovers will benefit from increases survivability when temperatures fall to minus 170℃ during the two-week long lunar nights.
